Trenggalek Regency Allocates IDR 1 Billion for Senden Village Road Repairs in 2025

The Trenggalek Regency Government has responded to public complaints from residents of Senden  village, Kampak District, by allocating IDR 1 billion for road repairs in 2025. This initiative is expected to improve accessibility and support economic and educational activities in the area.

The decision follows growing frustration over the poor condition of the road, which serves as a vital route for daily activities, including children’s commute to school.

Recently, residents staged a creative protest by placing critical messages along the damaged road, drawing public attention and pressuring the government to act promptly.

Acting Regent of Trenggalek, Dyah Wahyu Ermawati, confirmed that the repair plan has been included in the 2025 Regional Budget (APBD).

“We have allocated around IDR 1 billion for Senden Village road repairs in 2025,” Dyah said.

Chairman of the Trenggalek Regional House of Representatives (DPRD), Doding Rahmadi, clarified that repairs could not be carried out in 2024 due to budget constraints. He explained that the 2024 APBD lacked specific allocations for the project, while emergency funds had already been exhausted for other infrastructure needs.

“We hope the repairs can start as soon as possible, ideally by March 2025,” Doding stated.

The IDR 1 billion budget for the repairs will come from the Tobacco Excise Revenue Sharing Fund (DBHCHT). Additionally, the Trenggalek Government plans to increase its emergency fund allocation for infrastructure in 2025 to IDR 6.5 billion to address other urgent needs.

“We are currently finalizing the emergency fund proposal. For 2025, we plan to increase it to IDR 6.5 billion,” Doding added.

The planned road repairs in Senden Village are anticipated to significantly improve local infrastructure, providing better access and fostering economic growth and educational development in the community.
